Pet portraits: I am always happy to accept commissions to paint animals of your choice - whether a beloved family pet or simply a favourite creature. Some examples of how a portrait would look are shown here - watercolour or oil paintings. Contact me to discuss your requirements.

Other commissions: I love the challenge of painting an image of a range of diverse subjects - from landscapes to sc i-fi images  - any subject will be seriously considered! Samples of my work are shown here. Again, please feel free to discuss your requirements with me in an informal chat.

A word about commissions

Commissioned paintings can be in any medium (oils, acrylics or watercolour for example), on stretched canves or board, generally unframed but I can include a simple hand-made frame, please discuss this with me as I am happy to produce work to your specifications or requirements.

Price and delivery depends on medium and subject - please contact me for more details and an honest discussion. Work will be posted upon receipt of payment or by prior agreement, or if you prefer I would love to see you at the studio!

Reference material

For pet portraits, if I can't get to meet the animal in person, I am perfectly comfortable working from your photographs - I suggest a variety of views including some close up details (eyes, ears, tail shape and any distinctive features) and a good pose or two that I can use as a working guide for the finished piece.

For landscapes or any other subject, again I am happy to work from photographs and would love to gain an understanding of your relationship and feelings about the subject as well as the significance that it means to you.

I am also happy to give you regular updates on the progress of your piece if required. Please discuss your requirements with me in an initial no obligation chat.

Postage and shipping

Artwork will be dispatched to you in a stout bespoke cardboard box or similar packaging, depending on size and weight of the piece, and despatched as soon as possible on completion of the piece. Postage and packing will be added to the price as per prior agreement and discussion.

Remember: oil paintings take a while to dry and varnish so allow more time before these can be despatched.

Postage within the UK will be from £10 on a rising scale - discuss options with me. Shipping costs for destinations outside the UK will be extra but will be as low as possible, price on application. The buyer is responsible for any taxes, import duty etc to countries outside the UK.
